A simple, no‑permit, resident‑led community cleanup.  Pick a block, park path, storm drain, or greenway and clean it anytime. No central sign‑up required — just grab a friend, take a photo, and share.

What to bring:

  • Supplies: trash bags; work gloves; litter grabber or rake; hand sanitizer; water; sunscreen; closed‑toe shoes.
  • Optional: recycling bag; small bucket for glass; camera or phone for before/after photos.

Quick safety rules:

  • Work in pairs or groups when possible.
  • Do not touch hazardous items** (needles, unknown chemicals, large appliances). Mark location and report to Public Works via email at publicworks@orlandpark.org or by calling (708) 403-6100.
  • Lift safely: bend knees, avoid heavy items; contact Public Works via email at publicworks@orlandpark.org or by calling (708) 403-6100 for bulky pickups.
  • Stay visible: wear bright clothing near roads; use traffic‑safe routes.
  • Keep kids supervised and assign them light tasks like picking small litter or photographing progress.
