Facility Admission & Opening/Closing
- Admission to the pool will be refused to all persons having contagious or infectious conditions such as: a cold, fever, ringworm, foot infections, skin lesion, carbuncles, boils, diarrhea, vomiting, inflamed eyes, ear discharges or any other condition which has the appearance of being infectious.
- Persons with excessive sunburn, abrasions that have not healed, corn plasters, bunion pads, adhesive tape, rubber bandages or other bandages of any kind shall be refused admittance.
- An adult, age 18 or older, must accompany children (11) years of age and under at all times. No child under the age of (12) is allowed to be in the facility without adult supervision.
- Parents or guardians should supervise their children.
- Weapons/firearms are not permitted on any Village of Orland Park property at any time by any individual(s).
- Upon entrance to the facility, bags and coolers will be inspected by CPAC staff for prohibited items such as glass, knives, cannabis/cannabis products of any kind, alcoholic beverages, as well as any other materials or items which may be hazardous or interfere with pool operations. Coolers are permitted in the concession and pavilion areas only. Food, beverages and coolers are not permitted on the pool deck or lawn unless needed to store required medications (i.e. insulin). Water is permitted on deck and in the lawn.No chairs, strollers or other obstructions may be placed in the water or within (4) feet of the pool’s edge. A clear, unobstructed (4) foot perimeter must be maintained at all times.
- Cigarettes, including e-cigarettes, tobacco, drugs, alcoholic beverages, and gum are strictly prohibited. Smoking is prohibited throughout the facility and only permitted in designated areas within Centennial Park.
- CPAC will not open or will close for the day, if: a) the air temperature is less than (69) degrees; b) hazardous weather conditions exist; c) a situation arises that jeopardizes public health or safety; d) due to low attendance.
- Should the facility close early for any reason identified as outlined in item #8 above, a rain-check stamp will be issued. All guests must present a receipt to the Cashier Office staff in order to receive a rain-check stamp. Rain check stamps will be issued only to those present at the time of closing who have: a) been at the facility for less than (3) hours; b) have not used a rain-check stamp from a previous date to enter the facility. Rain-check stamps expire at the end of the season. No refunds will be issued.
- The facility’s pools, or selected portions of the pools, will close for safety breaks as deemed necessary by the Manager on Duty. All guests under the age of (18) are required to exit the closed portions of the pool at these designated times.
- Guests wishing to briefly exit the facility should receive a hand-stamp from the Cashier Office staff. Guests are only permitted to re-enter the facility with both a receipt and hand stamp. No exceptions will be made.
- All guests must be present to enter the queue line for admittance to the facility. No spot holding or line hopping is permitted by guests.
Guest Behavior
- Persons violating pool rules or regulations, either written or verbal, will be subject to eviction, disciplinary action, or arrest by the Orland Park Police Department (OPPD). There will be no refunds or rain-check stamps issued to guests under these circumstances.
- Persons appearing to be under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or exhibiting erratic behavior will not be admitted into the facility or will be removed from the premise and are subject to arrest, as outlined in item #13 above, without refund.
- Running, boisterous, rough play or other activities that may jeopardize the safety of guests are not permitted. All guests are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that does not cause harm to themselves or to others.
Pool/Lazy River/Waterslides
- Proper and appropriate swim attire is required. Acceptable items must be clean to enter the water. Proper swim attire guidelines and prohibited items are posted on the signage at the entrance of the facility. Clothing items that are prohibited in the facility include revealing, thong, or string bikinis, variations of standard speedos, and any sheer, transparent, or revealing clothing. Clothing items that are prohibited in the pool, Lazy River, and waterslides include denim, burqas, abayas, sarees, boxers, undergarments, basketball shorts, cargo shorts, and disposable diapers.
- Diving is not permitted in any of any of the facility’s attractions or pools.
- Only U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) approved Personal Flotation Devices (PFDs) are permitted in the water. PFDs are available, free of charge, at the facility’s central first-aid station. A parent or guardian must be within a reasonable distance of a child using a PFD at all times as deemed appropriate by CPAC staff.
- Arm-only flotation devices, such as water wings or floaties, are not permitted in the facility. Other flotation devices are only approved at the discretion of the Manager on Duty.
- All children who are not toilet-trained are required to wear plastic swim pants over a tightly fitting swim diaper. Disposable diapers are strictly prohibited. Diaper changing areas are available in each of the locker rooms. Diapers are not to be changed on the pool deck. Plastic swim pants and swim diapers are available for purchase at the Cashier’s Office.
- Guests must be at least 40” tall and able to swim unassisted to the exit of the pool in order to use any of the facility’s attractions. Personal Flotation Devices (PFDs), as well as goggles, snorkel masks, sunglasses, hats, and other loose articles, are not permitted on the slides.
- Children less than 40” tall are required to wear a Personal Flotation Device (PFD) and be accompanied by an adult in the Lazy River.
- Guests who are unable to swim proficiently and keep their airway above the water without assistance are required to stay in the shallow end of the facility’s Zero-Depth Pool.
- Only (1) person may ride the slides or occupy a single seat in a slide inner tube at a given time. Parents/guardians are not permitted to ride the slides with a child on their lap.
- Lap lanes are reserved for lap swimming only. Snorkels are permitted only when swimming laps in the lap lanes.
- All guests must be on, or within, an inner-tube when in the Lazy River and when riding the tube slide. Running, pushing or flipping of other guests’ inner-tubes, as well as boisterous play in the Lazy River or on the slides, is not permitted.
- Prohibited items/toys are posted on the signage at the entrance of the facility. These include all types of balls, toys or objects that may be thrown, squirt guns/tubes, floats, noodles and items deemed to be an obstruction or safety hazard by staff. CPAC retains the right to judge toys for appropriate use within the pool grounds.
- The use of speakers, any type of noise amplification, or music-making devices are not permitted within the facility without the use of personal headphones.
- Only trained service animals, as defined by Illinois Law, are permitted to enter the facility.
Locker Rooms
- Loitering around or in the locker rooms, bathrooms, and changing facilities is not permitted. The use of cell phones, cameras, and any video-recording electronic devices in these areas, are strictly prohibited. Photographing, video recording, live streaming and capturing images within a locker room, restroom, or changing facility is strictly prohibited. This is an invasion of privacy and may result in dismissal from the facility, the termination of your membership, and contact with law enforcement.
- Guests age (5) and older must use the appropriate gender locker room or a non-gender conforming family changing room.
Miscellaneous
- Food, drinks, and coolers are not allowed on the pool deck or in the lawn. Coolers should be stored in the designated storage area when not in use. Trash should be discarded before vacating a table in the concession area.
- The Village of Orland Park is not responsible for damaged, lost or stolen property. Valuables should not be left unattended. Coin lockers and chair vaults are available to rent for your convenience.
- Strollers are permitted on the pool deck, but must remain behind the pools’ overflow grates and must be attended to when in use.
- Chairs and umbrella shade structures are available on a first come, first-served basis. Saving chairs and umbrella shade structures are not permitted. Non-facility owned deck chairs are permitted on the pool deck. Tents, umbrellas, or pop-up structures of any kind that are placed on the lawn should be secured to prevent movement and drifting.
- The facility’s Lost and Found is located at the Cashier Office. Unclaimed property will be donated after (1) week.
- The public address system and facility phones are for official and emergency use only. Paging of guests is not permitted.
- Bicycles are not permitted within the facility. Bicycles must be secured in the designated bike rack areas outside the entrance of the facility.
