Cook County Department of Transportation and Highways (CCDOTH) is in the design stage of a Countywide Pavement Rehabilitation Program with the purpose of maintaining and preserving existing pavement on County roadways. The goal of this program is to rehabilitate and extend the service life of the roadways, supporting the Department’s goal of protecting the public investment in the highway system and providing safe, efficient, and sustainable transportation infrastructure.
The following locations within the Village have been identified to be included in the program.
- Wolf Road – W 143rd Street
- 104th Avenue – 179th Street to W 167th Street
- 151st Street – Will Cook Road to Wolf Road
- 153rd Street – Wolf Road to 100th/West Avenue
- 80th Avenue – 170th Place to 151st Street
Work within the Wolf Road Corridor includes pavement resurfacing and patching, sidewalk ramp improvements for Americans with Disability Act (ADA) compliance, culvert repair or replacement, and detector loop replacement at the intersection of Wolf Road with 143rd Street.
Work within the 104th Avenue Corridor includes pavement resurfacing and patching, sidewalk ramp improvements for Americans with Disability Act (ADA) compliance, culvert repair or replacement, and traffic signal modernization and detector loop replacement at the intersections of 104th Avenue with 179th Street and 167th Street.
Work within the 151st Street Corridor includes pavement resurfacing and patching, and sidewalk ramp improvements for Americans with Disability Act (ADA) compliance.
Work within the 153rd Street Corridor includes pavement resurfacing and patching, sidewalk ramp improvements for Americans with Disability Act (ADA) compliance, traffic signal modernization at the intersection of 153rd Street and 108th Avenue, and detector loop replacement at the intersection of 153rd Street with 100th / West Avenue. Additionally, a pedestrian refuge island is proposed at the intersection of 153rd Street with Huntington Court.
Work within the 80th Avenue Corridor includes pavement patching only.
