Requirements

All applications and plans are to be submitted electronically through the portal.

Residential Roof Flush-Mounted Solar Panels

• Owner Consent Form/Signed Solar Agreement
• 1 Copy of "Current Stamped" Structural Analysis
• 1 Copy of "Current Stamped" Plans
• Conduit Path Photos (Please see link below for example)

Commercial Solar Panels, and all other types of Residential Solar Panels

• Appearance Review Application (Must be notarized and submitted in-person or by mail)
• $50.00 for Appearance Review for Residential/Multi-Family, $150.00 for Commercial (Checks made payable to "Village of Orland Park")
•  Express Permit Application
• Electrical Permit Application
• Owner Consent Form/Signed Solar Agreement
• 1 Copy of "Current Stamped" Structural Analysis
• 1 Copy of " Current Stamped" Plans
• Conduit Path Photos (Please see link below for example)

All contractors need to be licensed with the Village; solar panel installation requires an Environmental Technologies registration. The contractor registration fee is paid annually; we also require a copy of your electrical license.
