Porches
Application Requirements
A permit is required for installation of all porches. A plan review is required for all porch permits.
Needed to apply for permit:
- Recent legible copy of legal plat of survey, showing existing building and setbacks to lot lines; the location of the planned porch must be noted on the plat of survey, in order to check setback requirements
- Drawing showing:
- Porch size
- Location and diameter of posts / piers
- Size and type of joists, decking, and beams
- Stair details
- Materials to be used
- Contractor's information, if one is to be used
- Zoning Permit Application

Inspections Required (2+)
A pre-pour inspection of the base and forms is required. Rough inspections may be required. A final inspection is required once the work has been completed.. Requests need to be made at least 24 hours in advance. View and complete a concrete inspection request form. Inspection requests are not taken over the phone.
