Following CDC Guidelines, Village Buildings Closed to the Public

Public is asked to interact online, by phone or via email

Orland Park, IL (March 16, 2020) - Per Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines, the Village of Orland Park is making the following modifications:

Orland Park Village Hall, the Village of Orland Park Sportsplex, Orland Park Health and Fitness Center, Franklin Loebe Center, Cultural Center, Civic Center and Orland Park History Museum are closed to the public beginning March 16, 2020 until further notice. All programs and events scheduled to take place at all facilities are canceled until further notice.

In a recent update, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) released guidelines to restrict in-person gatherings with over 50 people in attendance. As the concern for the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to grow, please know that the Village is closely monitoring the situation.

For the safety of the community and staff, and to help prevent the spread of illness, we are encouraging social distancing at this time and suggest that the community use electronic Village services in order to limit physical human interactions until further notice.

There will be no disruption of emergency public services, including Police, Fire and Emergency Responders, water or other vital services.

Call (708) 403-6100 to speak to a Village employee who will be more than happy to help with navigation of the Village website, direct callers to a department contact, or provide further information regarding access to Village services electronically. Many Village services are accessible online via the Village website at www.orlandpark.org.

The Village Board meeting scheduled for the evening of March 16 will continue as planned. Residents and stakeholders are asked to submit any inquiries to publicinfooffice@orlandpark.org.

As this is a developing situation, the Village will monitor and assess the protocols and adjust as needed. The Village will alert the community via email, website and social media and through local media of any changes to Village function or new developments. Please sign up to receive email notifications at

https://conta.cc/2IN1M4u and for emergency notifications via the Village’s Code Red notification system at https://bit.ly/3b0WSwS to receive emergency alerts. As always, dial 9-1-1 in the case of an emergency.

We appreciate your patience during this time.
