Orland Park Police Department Announces St. Patrick’s Day Impaired-driving Enforcement Results
Orland Park, IL (March 30, 2026) – The Orland Park Police Department announced it made two arrests and issued 39 seat belt citations during the St. Patrick’s Day enforcement period (March 13 through 6 a.m. March 23). The department issued 59 other traffic citations during the traffic enforcement campaign.
“We strongly enforce traffic laws for one reason—to save lives,” said Orland Park Chief of Police, Eric Rossi. “Whether it’s alcohol, cannabis or another drug, impaired driving puts everyone at risk.”
The Orland Park Police Department joined forces with state and local law enforcement and highway safety partners in the St. Patrick’s Day “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” and “Drive High. Get a DUI” enforcement campaign.
The safety effort was funded by federal highway safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
