Orland Park, IL (March 2, 2026) – The Village of Orland Park proudly welcomed residents to the first day of early voting at its new location, the Orland Park Civic Center, 14750 S. Ravinia Ave. in Orland Park.
The relocation from the Orland Township Building to the Civic Center reflects the Village’s continued commitment to enhancing accessibility, improving efficiency and providing a more comfortable voting experience for residents. Throughout the day, voters were able to take advantage of the Civic Center’s central location, ample parking and spacious indoor layout, avoiding exposure to the elements as well as the previously experienced long wait times.
“Today marks an important milestone for our community,” said Orland Park Mayor Jim Dodge. “We’re proud to see residents taking advantage of early voting in a space that is more accessible, welcoming and designed to make the process smooth and efficient. Strengthening civic engagement starts with removing barriers, and this new location does exactly that.
The Civic Center’s larger, flexible interior allows election officials to better manage voter flow while maintaining privacy and security. Improved wayfinding, efficient check-in areas and appropriately spaced voting stations help reduce wait times and create a seamless experience, particularly during peak voting periods.
Village officials worked in partnership with the Cook County Clerk’s Office to ensure a smooth transition and maintain the integrity of the early voting process. By hosting early voting at the Civic Center, the Village continues to reinforce its commitment to civic participation and community engagement.
