Transparency Checklist

The Illinois Policy Institute (IPI) has created a 10-point transparency checklist to hold government and elected officials accountable to the citizens and taxpayers, providing a “best practices” framework intended to improve government transparency throughout the State of Illinois. It is the Village of Orland Park’s objective to go above and beyond IPI’s requirements, using the transparency checklist as a foundation for open government. Orland Park is the first municipality in the State of Illinois to score 100% in transparency from the Institute.

Ballotpedia is an online encyclopedia about American politics and elections. Their goal is to connect people to politics by providing accurate and objective information about politics at the local, state, and federal level.  The Village of Orland Park was recently evaluated by Ballotpedia and received an A+ for its online transparency.
