SUMMER GREEN TIPS

1. Reuse your drinking cup or bottle. Get it refilled at your

favorite shop, eliminating plastic waste.

2. Reduce evaporation by mulching around your plants 2 - 4

inches. Free mulch is available at Public Works, first come first

serve basis throughout the season.

3. Use a rain barrel to harvest rainwater. You can purchase them

thru Metropolitan Water Reclamation at

MWRD.org.

You

can also purchase a compost bin to recycle those scraps and

debris in and around your home.

ECO-FRIENDS SUMMER CLUB

Come join us in exploring, experimenting and learning about

our environment with fun green activities. Each summer month,

ECO-Friends Club will meet and have a hands-on project that

will excite your child’s mind. Activities can range from working

with nature to creating recycled art, while always learning about

ways to care and love our Earth for a lifetime.
